For the 2026 #PleinAirpril Live Demo Series, we are inviting a total of 10 artists to share their painting processes and experiences with everyone! This is the Digital Pack of the demo series, which includes 5 demos.
This demo series covers 5 artists who will demostrate their digital painting processes. They use different digital painting programs including Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Illustrator, and HEAVYPAINT.
All artists will paint live during the 2-hr session; live audience has a chance to ask questions.
All sessions are in English (Auto-generated captions available).
Each session's start time varies, please read the schedule below carefully so you don't miss any!
Participants are encouraged to paint along and share their finished pieces on social media afterwards - feel free to tag @warriorpainters and the demo artists.

Angela Sung is a versatile artist with over a decade of experience in animation, having worked with studios like Sony Pictures Animation, Blur, DreamWorks, Netflix, Warner Bros, and Nickelodeon. She's currently serving as Production Designer on The Mitchells vs. the Machines 2 at Sony. Beyond her studio work, Angela shares her passion for the craft as an instructor, teaching background design and both digital and traditional painting. She's also the co-founder of Warrior Painters and Warrior Art Camp, reflecting her commitment to fostering artistry and education across the entertainment industry.

Jennifer Wu is a visual development artist working in feature animation. She's known for her vibrant paintings of day to day life and fantastical worlds. Her clients include Sony Pictures Animation, Dreamworks, House of Cool, Disney Lorcana, and many more. In addition to visual development, she has directed several award-winning shorts, including "Mission Popo" and "Mileage", having collected awards at Ottawa International Film Festival, Seattle Asian American Film Festival, and the Animation Academy Awards of Beijing Film Academy. She was also a finalist in the Concept Art Awards (2020, 2021, 2022) and Pleinair Salon (July 2025). In her free time, Jennifer likes to do life drawing and pleinair painting (but more importantly, eat her way through the city with friends).

Hyeyeon River is a Korean storyboard artist /art director working in the webtoon industry. She specializes in visual storytelling, line art, and character-driven narratives. She enjoys urban sketching and drawing people from life.

I’m James Gilleard - an aging Illustrator, Visual Development and Animation person. My career started around 2008 - working in games for a few years until I became a full time freelancer in 2013. Since then I have worked on a variety of projects from magazine articles, books, advertising jobs and film and tv work. I moved around for a while between 2016 and 2020 until settling in Matsumoto, Japan.

Karen is an Artist specializing in Visual Development and Art Direction based in Pasadena, California. She has worked in animation for 10 years. Some of her clients include Sony Animation, The Line Animation, Netflix, Disney Television, Nickelodeon, WAG, WB Animation, and DreamWorks Television. She is always searching for a fun new way to incorporate unconventional methods into her paintings. She’s an avid horror fan, and when not busy terrorizing the squirrels that mess with her garden, she enjoys the fine art of embroidery.
