This #PleinAirpril, we invited a total of 13 artists from around the world to conduct live demos and share their artistic processes and experiences with everyone! This page has the details for the traditional live demo pack (with 6 artists).
All sessions are live painting demos, in which the demo artist paints, talks about their process, and answers questions
Each session lasts for 2 hours; Recordings are now all available to watch as many times as you want!
All sessions are in English. All the artists demonstrated with gouache paints, except for Christina Weaver, who used acrylic paints
Participants are encouraged to paint along and share their finished pieces on social media afterwards - feel free to tag @warriorpainters and the demo artists

Angela Sung is a traditional painter, as well as a visual development artist and art director in animation. With over 13 years of experience in the animation industry, Angela has worked with major studios such as Sony Pictures Animation, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, Blur Studio, Netflix Animation, DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon Animation Studio, among others. Currently, Angela is a VisDev artist on the "K-Pop: Demon Hunters" feature film at Sony. Co-founder of Warrior Painters and Warrior Art Camp, Angela is dedicated to promoting artistry and education in the entertainment industry.

Christina Weaver paints flowers and foliage from life. Her work celebrates the varied forms and changing nature of living subjects through the study of color, shape, and light. Christina has a bachelor's degree in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Indiana University Bloomington. She has received the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant for artists who work representationally and was recently a resident artist at Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has taught art in a variety of settings and currently teaches drawing and painting at University of North Carolina Asheville. Her paintings are exhibited nationwide, collected worldwide, and her work has been featured in The Artist’s Magazine, Southwest Art, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Christina lives near Waynesville, North Carolina, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Kate is a game development artist and traditional painter based in the Bay Area. She has over 12 years of game dev experience working for companies like Electronic Arts, Glu Mobile, and PlayFirst. Currently, Kate is Art Director at Timberline Studio, developing a new game title for PC/console.
When she's not making games, Kate is an avid plein air painter and enjoys pushing the bounds of light and color with traditional painting mediums like gouache and oil. Kate is passionate about cultivating creative community and building up and encouraging future generations of artists.

Michelle Lin is a Los Angeles-based artist with over nine years of experience in the animation industry. She specializes in character design and visual development, currently serving as Assistant Art Director on Disney Jr's "Ariel." Previously, she held roles as Assistant Art Director on "Mira Royal Detective" and Design Supervisor on "Miles From Tomorrowland." Michelle loves projects that highlight diversity and representation, compelling characters, and rich world-building. Outside of her studio work, she paints with and helps organize the Warrior Painters.

Gia Dong, a dedicated full-time artist located in the Bay Area, California, launched her artistic career following graduation from Art Center College of Design. Specializing in various traditional mediums, Gia passionately explores the world of landscapes and still lifes. Her artistic focus revolves around capturing light and color using simplified shapes and dynamic color contrasts.

Alec Monson is a fine artist based in Utah. He earned a BFA in illustration from Brigham Young University. While studying at school he was introduced to landscape painting. Since then he has focused primarily on creating landscape paintings in both gouache and oil. Alec has participated in plein-air events and local gallery shows throughout Utah since graduating in 2020. He is currently teaching his first landscape class with Warrior Art Camp. When he’s not painting, Alec enjoys bird watching, snow skiing and mountain biking.

If you sign up after a live session has taken place, you'll be able to watch the recording. The recording gets uploaded within 48 hours of the session ending.
Unfortunately, we do not offer single session purchases. You can always watch the recordings if you can't make it to the live sessions.
